We design and make bespoke stained glass from traditional to modern. Our aim is to create stained glass that looks great and that sits comfortably within the character of its surroundings, of whatever period.
Much of our work is putting stained glass back that at some stage has been taken out and copying the traditional design.
Stained glass designs and features can be changed, made less or more complicated and made to fit different spaces and sizes.
Individual glass breaks can sometimes be done in-situ, this is not perfect as in working the old lead it can get damaged. If there are too many breaks or lead structure is damaged, weak or bowed, the lead light will need to be removed from its wood or metal frame, we then temporarily glaze the window. In our workshop we then strip the panel of its lead, clean the glass, replace any broken pieces with the nearest possible match and rebuild the panel using original glass in exactly the same way it would have been when first made. |
